Jones banned and Man Utd charged for breaching anti-doping rules in Europa League final

Manchester United have been charged by UEFA for breaching anti-doping regulations after the Europa League final win over Ajax, with Phil Jones and Daley Blind being punished too.

The club has been fined €10,000 not adhering to properly ensuring their players reported for testing immediately after their 2-0 win over the Dutch side in Stockholm on May 24.

Jones, meanwhile, has been banned for two games and fined £5,000 of for "insulting and directing abusive language towards the Doping Control Officer". The England international will miss the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid on August 8, as well as United's first match of the Champions League group stage.

Although Blind escapes a ban, he received the same financial penalty as his team-mate.
